Making the Dead pt.1

I am a huge zombie fan so over these next few posts, I will transform these tan, normal looking pieces of zombie into  terrifying ,moaning, groaning, brain munching ghouls that may or may not be used in an upcoming Claypix film , you just have to watch and find out.

I am so excited to make a series of custom zombies because all zombies are so unique in terms of rottenness and gore.

They are as different as the living and I have a feeling that design my custom ghouls

The Step by step by instructions will begin in the next post

The Happy Monkey enters an alternate universe

Sorry I haven't posted anything new on this blog for a while, but that is because I have started a new "Blog", if you can even call it that. Its photo blog of photos that are supposedly from an Alternate or Parallel universe and it is Imaginatively called "Photos from an Alternate Universe".

Its something that I wanted to do for a while now and nobody else appeared to be doing it or the kind of things I wanted to do. So I figured why not do it myself and make it exactly how I want it to be...so I did

Above are some examples, and If you want to see more just click the link below and enjoy:Photos from an alternate universe

Rise of the Planet of the Ape!!

Hello humans this is the Monkey of "the Happy monkey blog" and I'm very excited about the upcoming movie Rise of the planet of the Apes,a prequel to the "Planet of the Apes" film franchise , From the trailer I gather that some humans try create super intelligent apes and one of them "Caesar" becomes hyper intelligent remarkably fast and stirs up an Ape revolution it take control away from you humans.

I'm not sure when it comes out but I can hardly wait to see how The planet of the Ape began.

Oh I think I hear that human coming, I gotta go.

The Coolest Job ever!!!!!!!

Greetings Internet people, let me tell you about the coolest job ever!!!

I had been looking for summer jobs for a while, and was slowly giving up the possibility of working at the TV station (see earlier posts) when a friend of my told me he was going to a "film camp" I guess you'd call it, and I love pretty much everything about films and the film making process, so I decided to go to it with him. It was a two day "camp" and we were assigned to make an ad against teen drinking with footage they gave us, initially it was hard for me because we had to use final cut which I had never used before. I didn't see all of the finished ads but the ones I did see were extremely well made, good job guys.

Um...uh..What was I talking about.... oh right, my awesome job!
So I really wanted to work at a local TV station(were I had sent some of my videos before) but I wasn't sure if they were even hiring or still in business,so I just decided to ask the station manager who I already knew something to the effect of "are there any job openings at the station", she said yes and she would love to work with me, so we decided on the days and hours I would work and I started working there afew weeks ago... and I love it. I get to learn how to upload programs to play on TV, and I am slowly learning how to use Final cut (a video editing program for those of you how don't know). My films get aired on TV which is a dream come true for me. So that is what going on in my life. thank you and goodnight.

P.S Oh ,I almost forgot I'm also currently conceptualizing a weekly or monthly TV show, I haven't decided what I'll be yet but I have some ideas and it'll be awesome.
-Happy Monkey over and out!!!!!

ClayPIX tv!

I really fell that shows like "Robot Chicken", while the sketches are funny and the animation is superb, they are just to cynical and often extremely crude. So I have decide to do a similar shorter show with my own Claymation/Stop-motion animation it will be called ClayPIX tv and some "episodes" will be longer than others but my plan is to have them be within 10 to 15 or maybe even shorter.

Let me explain what I mean by cynical, on "Robot Chicken" it has this attitude that everything has to be realistic even though its stop-motion animation and nothing can just be fun for no reason and that everything has to be explained. I mean there are some just plain silly sketches don't get me wrong but the majority are just utterly crude and not funny at all ,where they portray funny people as depressed. It just bugs me, thats all.

Anyway my show will be composed of some of the short movies I've made both old and new with some that have been shown already and some that never been shown on youtube or anywhere else. So stay tuned to my youtube channel for ClayPix tv and other videos I've made,so enjoy!

The Happy Monkey turns 22!

On April 13th, so 2 days ago now I turned 22!! and was asked what I wanted to do to celebrate. There were several ideas bouncing around in my brain, only one r
eally stood out, The desire to go Bowling!!, I love that sport ,one, because its really the only sport I can do, and two, Its really fun and easy, my Grandpa still bowls and he's almost 90.

So the family and I went to a local Bowling alley that only had one free lane, which was fine, only need one to bowl. We played bowled two rounds and on the first game my score was 56 but in the second round I scored 111, which I thought was pretty
impressive.
After bowling we had dinner a Las Margaritas, our favorite local mexican restaurant. I had so much fun, Happy Birthday to Me!

Rise of the Independent film makers

There are so many people online doing videos, short or independent films, web shows and other stuff like that. I love Independent film makers ,I admire and am proud to call myself one. One of the main reasons is because they very often come up the most interesting and unique film ideas, which is refreshing and inspiring. Not to lower the work of Hollywood but I truly think that its just running out of ideas for films, even though there are some good movies out ,however the story lines of some recent movies seem to have been done over and over with to much emphasis on special effects.

Another reason I love independent films is because they are in many ways the underdogs of the movie industry is the main point I'm trying to make in this post. I also think some of the big studios will eventually will be replaced with young movie makers. I believe that as independent movie makers continue to become more popular online, on public access TV , and film festivals ,etc, the "Big studio" influence will start to be overshadowed by the awesome power of the Independent film makers....Watch our films....If you dare, muhahahahaha!!!!! , thanks for reading, bye.
